OUR STORY

The first piece of our collection, the Guardian of the Baltic Sea pendant, was created in 2010 when the Baltic Sea was in a very poor state. We wanted to change the course where we were heading with polluting and harming the biodiversity of this vulnerable sea.

We took on our mission to raise 100 000 euros for BSAG and raise awareness through our jewelry. Although our goal was ambitious for a small family business, we reached it only after a couple of years.

Now we want to think even bigger!

As our mission to raise funds for protecting the Baltic Sea continues, we want to continue our Ocean Action on a global level. Our aim is to unite people around the importance of protecting our planet's global ocean. With our new collection Guardian of the Ocean, our goal is to raise and donate funds for global NGO's working for our blue planet.

The ocean has a vital role in the climate cycle, biodiversity and livelihoods of people. Even the smallest acts to protect the ocean are meaningful in a time when the environmental decisions we take now, will determine our planet's future. Together with our two charity partners and over 4000 Guardians around the world we truly believe we can make a difference.

For each piece of jewelry sold, we will donate 20 euros to our charity partners. Whether you are a Baltic Sea or an Ocean Guardian, you can register your numbered piece with your name on our list of Guardians.

We use sustainable and high-quality materials in our pieces. Guardian pieces are handmade locally in Helsinki using recycled metals. Sustainability and respecting nature's beauty is at the core of our designs.

How should I take care of my Guardian products?

General use and care instructions

To ensure that your jewelry gives you pleasure for many years, it is important to take care of it in the best way possible.

Keep it in our signature jewelry box when not wearing it. Clean with a cotton wipe after each use to remove make-up and grease. Remove your jewelry when bathing, doing the dishes, gardening, etc. to protect it from unnecessary wear. No metal, including silver and gold, can tolerate salt or chlorinated water.

Silver jewelry

The typical tarnishing of silver may be cleaned off with a silver polishing cloth. After cleaning the piece of jewelry with a silver polishing cloth, rinse the jewelry in mild soapy water so that the residue detergent from the cloth does not stain. We do not recommend silver polish liquids for any of our silver jewelry.

Gold-plated jewelry

If your gold-plated jewelry needs more thorough cleaning, make a water-soap solution using lukewarm water and a gentle soap. Wash it gently with your hands. Do not use brush or polishing cloth for gold-plated jewelry. Dry the jewelry with soft towel or tissue paper.

Sustainability Do you use any recycled materials?

All our Guardian pieces are made from recycled silver or from recycled bronze that is gold-plated. Our packaging materials are ecologically friendly and 100% recyclable.

You too can minimise the burden on the environment that is caused by waste: sort your packaging waste according to instructions in your own community or country.
